Due diligence

RSV Australia’s due diligence activities are carried out within the Project Management constraints of the Project disciplines, i.e. labour, materials, safety and environment. Generally, due diligence refers to the reasonable care that RSV Australia will have taken before entering into an agreement or a transaction with another party.

RSV takes all the precautions, reasonable under the circumstances, to protect the health and safety of workers. These include:

Written OH&S policies, practices, and procedures.
Provision of the appropriate training and education to the employees so that they understand and carry out their work according to the established polices, practices, and procedures.
Training the supervisors to ensure they are competent persons, as defined in legislation.

Monitoring the workplace and ensuring that employees are following the policies, practices and procedures.

An accident investigation and reporting system in place and employees are be encouraged to report "near misses" and these are also investigated.

Offers to purchase an asset or to award a contract for supply of materials or the award of a supply and install contract are usually dependent on the results of due diligence analysis. This includes reviewing the appropriate financial records, the CV’s of key personnel, guarantee periods, availability of spare parts and anything else deemed material to the procurement of the asset or service.

Environmental due diligence during the initial phases of a project is usually the responsibility of the Client as the services of specialists needs to be employed.
